Assessment Pattern

Assessments are the test that evaluates the understanding & knowledge of the student when a concept is taught and learned. The goal of assessment is to monitor student learning to provide ongoing feedback that can be used by instructors to improve their teaching and by students to improve their learning. We follow examination pattern as specified by CBSE. Students are assessed in two areas – Scholastic and Co-scholastic. The syllabus is divided Term wise and not carried forward to the next term. The assessment pattern of the school is divided in a manner where each child is assessed on a written examination basis from classes 1 to 10 as per the norms of the CBSE.

Students will be assessed on:

• 9 point grade on Scholastic
• Min. D Grade required in all the subjects
• 5 point grade on Co- scholastic
• Min. C Grade required in all the areas for qualifying.

Note :- Syllabus of Half yearly exam will include all the chapters of term I and syllabus of Annual exam will include all the chapters of term-II only. Subject enrichment, CW/HW, project and notebook assessments are the continuous activities but will be assessed once in a term. Also Co- Scholastic areas include Work Education (or Pre-vocational education), art education, health and physical education and discipline.

Sports is a key for teaching students a range of skills and values that will stay with them throughout their lives. In keeping with the school’s mission of imparting holistic education, a well defined PE and sports activity has been weaved into the curriculum. We at SWS have devised unique and structured sports program that keeps students as well as teachers fit, healthy and active.
